Earl E. Gampp, 93, of Minford, died Sunday, August 21, 2011 at SOMC Hospice.

Born March 9, 1918 in Harrison Township, Scioto County, a son of the late William N. and Iva Alice Bennett Gampp, he was a retired Dairy-Poultry farmer. He was a graduate of Minford High School in the class of 1936, was a member of Wheelersburg Church of Christ and was a WWII U.S. Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Michael (Sharon) Gampp of Portsmouth and Patrick Gampp of Minford; two grandchildren, Michael (Lora) Gampp II of South Portsmouth, Kentucky, and Melissa Gampp and her husband Jeremy Lauder of Portsmouth; two great-grandchildren, Jaid Allison Gampp and Emma Grace Lauder, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Lee Lewis Gampp on June 26, 2004 whom he married September 26, 1942; one son, James David Gampp; and two brothers, Albert Gampp and Richard Gampp.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Michael Gampp and Patrick Gampp officiating. Burial will be at Batterson Cemetery near Minford. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
