Elizabeth Cunningham, 93, of Wheelersburg, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 26, 2012, at home.
She was born June 5, 1918, in Greenup, Ky,; a daughter of the late Adolph Dingess and Cora Winters Dingess. She was a member of Christ's Community Church in Portsmouth. She and her late husband, Monroe Cunningham, owned and operated Cunningham Asphalt Paving, Inc., until their retirement.
She is survived by three sons, Karl (Melva) Cunningham of Wheelersburg, Donald Cunningham of Wheelersburg, and Glenn (Terri) Cunningham of Wheelersburg; three daughters, Sandra (John) Cline of Wheelersburg, Vicki Cunningham of Longmont, Colo., and Carolyn (John) Anders of Longmont, Colo.; 16 grandchildren, Dawn Owens of Wheelersburg, Glenn (Lori) Cunningham Jr. of Wheelersburg, Julie (Matt) Bowers of Powell, Ohio, Sarah (Paul) Krumsieg of Lebanon, Ill., John (Linda) Cunningham of Wheelersburg, Anthony Cunningham of Ashland, Ky., Rae (Gary) Heimbach of Wheelersburg, Andy Mullins of Longmont, Colo. (formerly of Wheelersburg), Tehra (Nathan) Clevenger of Wheelersburg, Morgan Townsend of Colorado, Jessica (Seth Cowgill) Krueger of Portsmouth, Lindsay Townsend of Colorado, Lauren Townsend of Colorado, Jennifer (Tyler) Riggs of Portsmouth, Brandon (Stephanie) Cline of Portsmouth, and Kyle Cline of Wheelersburg. She also had 22 grandchildren, Tyler, Zachary, Cole and Riley Cunningham of Wheelersburg, Ethan and Karleigh Owens of Wheelersburg, Ellie and J. R. Bowers of Powell, Ohio, Kenny Tori, Gretchen, Scott and Heidi Krumsieg of Lebanon, Ill., Ben and Sarah Cunningham of Wheelersburg, Hannah, Abraham and Elizabeth Heimbach of Wheelersburg, Claire Clevenger of Wheelersburg, and Steven, Alex and Isaiah Mullins of Wheelersburg.
She is also survived by one sister, Rozenna (Cletis) Pack of Wheelersburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Cunningham whom she married on June 2, 1938; a daughter, Bonnie Denbow; and a granddaughter, Jayme Mullins; three brothers, Alvin Dingess, Raymond Dingess and William Dingess; and three sisters, Lenore Faulk, Ellen Comer and Mary Dingess.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Christ's Community Church, 25th at Thomas Avenue, Portsmouth.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 30, 2012, at the Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg.
