Virginia Lockwood

Virginia Lockwood, 68, of 5310 Otterbein-Ithaca Road, Arcanum, died Friday morning at the Kettering Medical Center, Dayton, where she had been a patient for the last 30 days.
A native of Sheridan, Mrs. Lockwood was the daughter of the late C.H. and Grace (Arthur) Melvin. She was a former Dayton resident for 40 years and lived in Arcanum for the past three years. Mrs. Lockwood was a member of the Wesleyan Church in Arcanum.
Survivors include her husband, William F. Lockwood; two daughters, Mrs. David (Virginia) Donohue of Dayton and Mrs. Joseph (Mary Sue) Fusaro of Hollywood, Md.; four sons, William M. of Englewood, Daniel of West Milton, Jack of Summerset, Ky., and albert of Lewisburg; three sisters, Mrs. Sue Kalner of Jackson, Mrs. Margaret Jean McGraw of Minford and Mrs. Mary Benett of Texarkana, Texas; three brothers, Daniel Melvin of Cincinnati, Albert Melvin of Dayton and Jack Melvin of Minford; and 19 grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Arcanum Wesleyan Church. The Rev. Franklin Durham will officiate with-burial to follow in the Royal Oak Cemetery, Brookville. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Kreitzer Funeral Home in Arcanum.
