SHUMP, Richard T. age 90, a resident of Centerville, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 12, 2008 at home.

 

Richard was a veteran of World War II.

 

He was the owner of Widmaier Furniture and Upholstery Company.

 

He was a member of Bethel Christian Assembly of God for 60 years.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Ida (Siebert) Shump, an older brother, Elwood Basil Shump, an older sister, Hilda Wheeler of Portsmouth, OH.

 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Edna Lucille (Lee) Shump; his daughter, Janine Marie (Shump) Wireman and her husband Gary; grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, Austin, and Olivia Wireman all of Beavercreek, OH. One brother Donald Zane Shump of Dayton, Ohio; one brother-in-law, Hugh Gaston of Mobile, AL, as well as special nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and church family.

 

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel.

 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Christian Assembly of God Church (327 S. Smithville Rd.) with Pastor Daniel Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
