Wilma Kathern McKinney Brown Mougey, 88, of Wheelersburg, a former Minford area resident, died Saturday, May 17, 2008, at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus.
Born June 23, 1919, in Madison Township, Scioto County, a daughter of the late William and Catherine Lyons McKinney, she was a graduate of Minford High School in the class of 1937. She was a homemaker and a member of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by five daughters, Patricia "Pat" (Tom) Miller of West Jefferson, Carolyn Leist of Stockdale, Rosie (Ed) Cox of Minford, Suzanne (Brian) Neal of Worthington, Angie (Alan) Roberts of Stockdale; one son, John Brown of Portsmouth; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three stepsons, Gary Mougey and Keith Mougey, both of Wheelersburg, and Greg Mougey of Hecla; two step-daughters, Nadine Brown of Springfield and Carol Knapp of Longview, Texas; 14 step grand-children; and several step great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Harry Brown on May 10, 1985, whom she married on Dec. 31, 1938; David Mougey on Oct. 30, 1995. whom she married on Nov. 3, 1986; two brothers, Charles and Gerald McKinney; and one sister in infancy, Lona McKinney.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford, with Pastor Tim Palla officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
